For some places, you may need to sign up at least 2 weeks before your birthday to ensure you get the birthday freebie this year. If not, you’ll have to wait until next year for the birthday freebie offer. Don’t worry. If you sign up last minute, there are some places that offer welcome freebies just for signing up for the rewards program.

For the birthday freebies, depending on the place, you may have to install the app to redeem the birthday rewards.

You have a day, a week, 2 weeks, or 4 weeks or longer to redeem the birthday rewards. Starbucks only allowed me to redeem a free drink or food item of my choice on my birthday. Because of that, I did not redeem that birthday freebie.
