Photo in front of garage driveway

This morning my mom found the Tigger plush lying in front of the garage driveway. She texted me the above photo.

I finished reading part 1 of 9 from J.K. Rowling’s The Christmas Pig yesterday.

I can’t help but feel sad for this lost and abandoned Tigger plush. Just like Jack lost his small toy pig, some kid must’ve lost this Tigger and feel devastated.

As the Things explained from The Christmas Pig, “The Land of the Lost is where Things go when you lose them. It’s a strange and terrible place, governed by its own peculiar laws…”

This Tigger plush must have felt scared to be in the Land of the Lost.

What am I to do? Should I take it in? If I take it in, what if its owner tried to trace their steps and find it.

Usually with “Things,” unlike pets, I’ve realized we don’t have name tags with contact information to find their owner. If they’re lost, they’re lost. I have never seen anyone put up flyers or go looking for “Things.”

I do hope this Tigger somehow finds its way back to its owner.

In future stories, I’m planning to make reference and share my thoughts on The Christmas Pig book. If you read this far, thanks for reading! I hope you had a happy Monday (or whatever day you’re reading this)!
