I felt the same way!

… I tried a different topic, but still nothing. Embarrassed, I went so far as to delete the article, thinking that my writing must be awful, or at least for the wrong audience if I couldn’t get a single clap. So I gave up. I focused on my other projects, and abandoned my Medium account almost immediately.

I felt the same way! I definitely agree with some of your dos and don’ts — such as putting ourselves out there and interacting with other people in the writing community to be found. It takes work.
