By the time I went to the 99 cents store, it was closed. The parking lot wasn’t packed as it used to be. There were only a few cars in the parking lot. They probably belonged to the employees.

I’m definitely sad I will not be able to shop there again. It was my favorite store growing up.

When I was a kid, I remembered shopping there for Christmas presents.

You can find nice things there for a bargain! I got a nice scented candle from there for my uncle for Christmas.

My uncle liked the candle. He asked me where I got it. I didn’t want to say. I was afraid to say in fear he would react poorly if he knew where I got it. He guessed Bath and Body Works, but I neither confirmed nor denied this. I let him think it was from Bath and Body Works.

The 99 cents store was my go to store for certain essentials such as shower curtains. I was able to get shower curtains plus shower curtain rings for only $2!
