Dear Catherine,

If you’re reading this, I’m writing to you on December 29, 2021. 2021 flew by. What a year!

Who would have thought after a year you would return to Medium and write again? You quit after just writing a Self-Reflection of 2020.

Your original plan was to structure each story as a story to yourself, but you ran out of ideas. You felt you pretty much summed your life story up to December 22, 2020. Also, no one was reading and you felt uninspired, so you quit.

It’s 2021. There is more to you than just that story. You have a lot to say. You’ve been journaling and on your 3rd journal.

K.V. Fey, another writer on Medium, was your first actual read and comment on your Self-Reflection of 2020. This encouraged you to write a letter to yourself for 2021.

A lot has happened in 2021.

Beginning of 2021, you were scared to go out. You would book and then reschedule your optometrist appointment, because you weren’t ready to be in close contact with people, and you were afraid to catch COVID. Your mom convinced you the importance of getting your eyes checked. It had been about 2 1/2 years since you got your eyes checked. You finally decided to keep your appointment, got your eyes checked, and got new glasses.
