Should I see a Dermatologist or Try Curology to Treat my Acne?
A licensed dermatologist, no doubt, is a great resource for professional help with anything skin related. If you don’t have insurance or can’t find a dermatologist in your network, a visit to the dermatologist can be expensive. Is Curology an inexpensive alternative?
I’ve been seeing ads for a free 30-day trial with Curology and did some research to find out more about this online service.
Browsing through the google reviews, a common theme is the lack of communication. There’s no customer service phone number to contact a live person directly. There is just a support email address. The turnaround time to get a response is 1–2 weeks or not at all. It’s difficult to cancel a subscription once you’re signed up. Even if customers tried to cancel their subscription, they have reported that they’re still being charged.
Though these reviews are within the past few years, when the pandemic is happening, this should not be an excuse for 3 years.
Based on these reviews, I would not recommend it as an inexpensive alternative. It can end up being an expensive alternative with a lot of headaches trying a cancel your subscription if it turns out the product is not for you.
