Understanding how we see and interpret visual information
Throughout my life, I saw and interpreted visual information. I rarely stopped to think about why a design looked good.
There are visual principles that I was unaware of until recently when I started learning about them through Baseline.
These visual principles are about how we see and interpret visual information, so it makes sense that a design that looks good uses the visual principles well.
When we see things, we make sense of what we see by taking in the things that are in proximity to one another and group them based on shared characteristics such as shape, size, and color.
