I’m all for hope and dreams, but I not fan of the Cinderella story. Let me tell you why.
The Cinderella story is not real.
Why in almost every Cinderella movie I’ve seen is Cinderella attractive and her stepsisters hideous? What if Cinderella was hideous and her stepsisters were attractive? Would Cinderella even had a chance with Prince Charming?
If there was no fairy godmother to wave her wand, would Cinderella even be noticed by Prince Charming at the ball?
In real life, we cannot expect someone like a fairy godmother to “save” us. We have to put in the effort to make our hopes and dreams come true.
What was so great about Prince Charming? Cinderella only danced with him at the ball. They haven’t gone on dates and got to know if they liked each other before they got married.
Is Prince Charming that charming in real life? I met the guy who played Prince Charming in real life. His charm is only a facade. He tried to sell me and others this dream of “vacation ownership.”
The Cinderella story lacked substance and create unrealistic expectations.
Real life does not just end at happily ever after, because the “magic” does not last forever.
